School opens in anti-radiation bunker in Ukraine's Kharkiv

On January 22, a school was opened in Kharkiv in a renovated radiation shelter, where children will be able to study even in the face of war

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported this.

"Today we have taken another step towards expanding the network of educational institutions where children can study even in times of war," the mayor wrote.

The school is set up in a renovated radiation shelter in the Slobidskyi district of Kharkiv, designed for 100 students in two shifts.

Terekhov added that the shelter is equipped in accordance with modern technical specifications and is certified by all relevant services.

Several other school shelters are waiting for such reconstruction, which will begin in the near future, he noted.
