Ukraine repels 80 Russian attacks near Pokrovsk as 216 clashes erupt at frontline

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff provided this update as of 8:00 a.m. on April 3.

On the previous day, Russian troops launched two missile attacks on Ukrainian positions and populated areas, using two missiles, along with 85 airstrikes, which included 123 guided bombs. Additionally, they carried out nearly 6,400 attacks, including 107 from multiple launch rocket systems, and deployed 2,377 kamikaze drones in their assaults.

Russian airstrikes targeted 5 settlements in the Sumy region, 1 settlement in the Kharkiv region, 13 settlements in the Donetsk region, and 3 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Frontline update

In the Kharkiv direction, two combat clashes took place near Vovchansk and in the direction of Kamianka yesterday.

In the Kupiansk direction, four Russian attacks were registered over the last day. The Ukrainian defense forces repelled the Russian assault near Zahryzove and Nova Kruhliakivka.

In the Lyman direction, Russian troops attacked 21 times. They tried to advance near Nadiia, Torske, Novoiehorivka, Kolodiazi, Yampolivka, Novoliubivka and Dibrova.

In the Siversk direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repulsed five Russian assaults near Bilohorivka and Verkhnokamianske.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Russian forces conducted six attacks near Chasiv Yar and in the direction of Novomarkove, Stupochky and Predtechyne.

In the Toretsk direction, Russian troops launched 28 attacks near Toretsk, Ozarianivka, Dyliivka, Krymske and Leonidivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the Ukrainian defenders stopped 80 Russian attacks near Panteleimonivka, Sukha Balka, Shevchenko, Vodiane Druhe, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Zelene, Novyi Trud, Kotlyne, Udachne, Kotliarivka, Uspenivka and Andriivka.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces fought off 13 attacks near Kostiantynopil, Rozlyv, Dniproenerhia, Vesele and Burlatske.

In the Huliaipole direction, near Pryvilne and Novosilka, the Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully defeated five Russian attacks.

In the Orikhiv direction, near the settlements of Stepove, Mali Shcherbaky, Kamianske and Novodanylivka, Russian forces launched 12 attacks on the Ukrainian positions.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Russian forces tried to advance to the Ukrainian defense positions five times yesterday.

In the Kursk direction, Ukrainian troops rebuffed 28 attacks yesterday. Russian troops launched 343 artillery attacks, five of which were from multiple launch rocket systems; carried out 20 air strikes, dropping 31 KAB bombs.

Along the border with Belarus, no signs of Russian offensive groups were detected.
