Ukraine receives field hospitals, medical evacuation vehicles from Netherlands

With the support of the Dutch government, the Dutch manufacturer Hospitainer handed over the medical equipment to Ukraine's State Border Guard Service.

The mobile hospitals are designed for 36 beds, are more suitable for use in the cold season, and have expanded possibilities for accommodating medical staff and patients.

"This special-purpose medical equipment has expanded functions, namely an increase in the number of beds. Another important technical component is the inclusion of new air conditioners that have an active ventilation method, which was not the case in previous models. In addition, a new and important element is a block for medical staff," said Dmytro Laitan, head of the outpatient clinic at one of the State Border Guard Service hospitals.

In addition, the advanced mobile hospital can be used as a stabilization center.

• In August, Ukrainian border guards received six mobile medical complexes from the Netherlands, which allow them to build a system of medical evacuation support in accordance with NATO standards.
