Ukraine receives Crotale air defense systems from France to protect its skies
French Defense Minister, Sébastien Lecornu, revealed details of military aid given to Ukraine, noting that the Crotale air defense system features among the systems most recently provided

Speaking about assistance already provided by France, Lecornu said that among the last systems transferred to Ukraine are two batteries of Crotale air defense systems, as well as two multiple missile systems.

In addition, according to Lecornu, Kyiv asked for radar stations and this request is still being considered.
France, along with other Western partners, will join service center for military equipment for Ukraine in Slovakia, the work of which will be coordinated by joint French-German defense industry association KNDS. Among other things, PzH 2000 howitzers, Caesar self-propelled guns, Gepard anti-aircraft tanks, and Dingo armored personnel carriers should be serviced and repaired there.
In addition, 200 million euro support fund approved by parliament will allow Ukraine to order necessary equipment from French defense industry and provide maintenance of supplied systems.
Minister said that 400 Ukrainian military personnel have already been trained in France - those who will work with transferred systems, and this activity will continue within the framework of EU mission.
"Our initial goal is to train 2,000 people out of a total of 15,000, as proposed at EU level. 400 Ukrainian military personnel have already been trained, in particular, on the systems we provide", Lecornu noted.
According to him, total volume of French military aid to Ukraine has reached 550 million euros and now it is among top five aid providers in terms of aid volume.
