Ukraine receives batch of temporary bridges from Sweden

Sweden donated Ukraine four boats and 14 pontoon sections, which can be used to form crossings

Ukraine's Ministry of Infrastructure reported this.

“In the face of Russian aggression, temporary bridges are a quick and effective way to restore transport links between the liberated regions and the rest of the country,” the statement says.

The structures have already arrived in Ukraine. They are being unloaded to be sent to the required location.

In addition to Sweden, which has provided EUR 379 million in humanitarian and civilian aid since February 2022, the Czech Republic and France have provided structures for the construction of temporary bridges. Norway has also joined the aid effort.

The Ministry of Infrastructure says that 153 bridges and overpasses have been destroyed since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. So far, 80 temporary crossings have been restored.
