This was reported by Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine Michael Brodsky on his Telegram.

"Israel has handed over several tonnes of medicines to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. The handover ceremony took place today in Kyiv with the participation of Israeli Deputy Ambassador to Ukraine Liron Finkelstein and Ukrainian officials," the diplomat wrote.

The agreement on medicines following talks between the heads of the health ministries of both countries was previously reported on Telegram by the Israeli ambassador to Ukraine.

"Today (August 14 - ed.), the Ministers of Health of Israel and Ukraine had a conversation. At Ukraine's request, Israel will send several tonnes of medicines to Ukraine," the diplomat wrote.

  • As a reminder, the Israeli government has stopped funding the programme of free medical insurance and services for Ukrainian refugees, the Embassy of Ukraine in Israel reported on August 10.
  • At the time, the head of the diplomatic mission, Yevhen Korniychuk, said: "Not only is the Israeli government refusing to sell Ukraine means of protection against the Russian forces who kill our citizens, but now Israel is also stopping providing medical care to refugees who fled to Israel from the threat of brutal murder by Russians."
  • Also on August 12, media outlets quoted sources as saying that Ukraine could suspend the visa-free regime with Israel and exclude it from the Ramstein format.
  • On August 14, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that, following talks with his counterpart in Jerusalem, Israel would extend free health insurance for Ukrainian refugees.
