Ukraine reacts to anti-Ukrainian propaganda in Hungarian school textbooks
Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs demands information containing anti-Ukrainian propaganda in Hungarian textbooks is corrected as soon as possible.
The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Oleg Nikolenko stated this in a comment to "European Pravda".
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is aware of the situation with the geography textbook for the eighth grade in Hungary," he said.
According to him, yesterday Ukrainian diplomats held a meeting at the Hungarian Foreign Policy Department, during which they emphasized the inadmissibility of presenting unreliable and distorted facts about Ukraine.
"We demand the correction of false information in the textbook as soon as possible," Nikolenko said.
It is about the fact that in Hungary, the state center has developed a geography textbook for the 8th grade, full of anti-Ukrainian propaganda and false facts, capable of "programming" schoolchildren to have a hostile attitude towards Ukraine.
In the textbook, Hungarian schoolchildren are convinced that there is a civil war in Ukraine, in which Russia is certainly not involved.
The post is accompanied by a drawing in which Ukraine is being torn apart by a Russian bear and men wearing the symbols of the USA and the European Union. At the same time, schoolchildren are asked: "Who (among them) should Ukraine belong to?"
