Paralympics 2024: Ukrainian Yehor Dementyev wins silver in cycling track
At the 2024 Paralympic Games, Ukrainian athlete Yehor Dementyev won a silver medal in the individual 4000-meter pursuit in the C5 class

At the 2024 Paralympics, the Ukrainian athlete qualified and finished second with a time of 4:17.785. Frenchman Dorian Foulon broke the world record with a time of 4:13.934 minutes.
In the finals, Dementyev was in second place for almost the entire distance. At the end of the race, the Ukrainian closed the gap, but failed to win first place.
It should be noted that the 2024 Paralympics will be the fourth in his career for Yehor Dementyev. The Ukrainian made his debut in London 2012, where he became a two-time champion in the road race and the time trial, and in Rio 2016 he defended his gold medal in the individual time trial.

This is the first medal for Ukraine in cycling at the 2024 Paralympic Games.
