In Russian-occupied Luhansk, explosions reported near military aviation school and aircraft repair plant
On the evening of Monday, May 27, explosions rocked the temporarily occupied Luhansk near a military aviation school and an aircraft repair plant. The occupation authorities blamed "Ukrainian nationalists"
Artem Lysohor, Luhansk Regional Military Administration head, informed about the explosions.
"Tonight, fireworks were fired near the infrastructure facilities of the former Luhansk Higher Military Aviation School of Navigators and the nearby aircraft repair plant," he wrote.
The official suggested that the enemy may have suffered significant losses of aircraft."As usual, the occupiers will not show what exactly is damaged or destroyed. This will mean that the loss of aircraft may be significant. They won't be able to lie about the successful work of the air defense either, because thousands of Luhansk residents saw the consequences of the explosions "on the ground". They know that if it hits, it hits where it should," added Lysohor.
Afterward, the Russian propaganda agency TASS reported an alleged second strike on Luhansk.
Russia-appointed head of the so-called LPR Leonid Pasichnyk blamed the attack on "Ukrainian nationalists."
"Ukrainian nationalists launched another rocket attack on Luhansk with cluster munitions. The attack resulted in a fire," he wrote.
Gauleiter said that information about the damage and casualties is being clarified.
