According to Ukrinform, Joly made these remarks on Wednesday in Brussels at the beginning of the second day of the NATO foreign ministers' meeting. The minister stressed the significance of backing Ukraine, even after its triumph.
During her meeting with Ukrainian Minister Kuleba the previous day, Joly underscored the need for states to provide Ukraine with long-term security measures and assurances. She believes that even after Ukraine achieves victory, Russia will remain its neighbor and a hostile country. Canada brought this issue to the negotiating table, as Joly stated in her declaration the previous day.
