Ukraine must prepare for protracted war, Russia will train its people and attack - General Kryvonos

Russia will attack, mobilize and train its people; Ukraine should prepare for a protracted war, as it will not end in February or March next year.

Serhiy Kryvonos, General of the Armed Forces and former Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, shared his opinions with Espreso TV.

"One of the mistakes of the last 6 months is that the press consistently underestimates the enemy and citizens are given information that only alcoholics and drug addicts are fighting against Ukraine. Meanwhile, to destroy the enemy, Ukraine must have a trained, armed soldier who knows exactly how to destroy them. Russia has mobilized 300,000 and is still able to mobilize another 300,000, or even half a million," he said.

According to Kryvonos, Ukraine should not underestimate Russia’s capabilities.

"We have seen how they are clearly using their tactics of filling our territory with their own corpses. In certain areas, the tactic of throwing so much manpower without counting losses that we either do not have enough ammunition or weapons to destroy them, gives certain results. We must understand that the enemy will attack, mobilize and train their people. We need to prepare for a protracted war which will not end in February or March next year," the general concluded.
