Ukraine may receive SAMP-T air defense systems in first quarter of 2023 - military expert Kovalenko

He expressed his opinion on Espreso TV. 

“Indeed, the problem of protecting our airspace and strikes on Ukrainian critical infrastructure accelerate the provision of modern air defense systems to Ukraine. Bureaucratic processes in the West are happening much faster than they were at the beginning of a full-scale invasion,” Kovalenko explained.

The military expert emphasized that Ukraine may get modern air defense systems faster than expected.

“The terrorist threat from the Russian occupiers helps to resolve the issues that were previously an obstacle to the accelerated provision of air defense systems to Ukraine. However, if we talk specifically about SAMP-T air defense systems, then depending on the speed of decision-making, Ukraine will be able to receive these systems already in the first quarter of 2023. Our partners definitely have such an opportunity,” he added.
