Ukraine is now the top recipient of US military aid - Washington Post
Ukraine has surpassed even Israel and Egypt on terms of the total amount of US military aid it receives.
The Washington Post shared the figures.
At the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, the amount of US aid to Ukraine amounted to $3.8 billion. The new $40.1 billion assistance package provided $20 billion for defense.
In the 2020 fiscal year, the world's largest recipient of US military aid was Israel, which received $3.3 billion. Egypt received $1.3 billion, and Jordan $510 million.
The Washington Post notes that from 2014 to 2021 the United States provided $2.7 billion in military aid to Kyiv.
