Der Spiegel reported this with reference to Hebestreit's statement.
“Ukraine has a guaranteed right to self-defense in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter,” he noted.
“Ukraine is not obliged to limit its defense efforts to its territory,” Hebestreit added.
At the same time, as the German news magazine writes, Hebestreit refused to comment on the explosions at Russian airfields and Ukraine's possible involvement in them.
