Ukraine defends its positions near Bakhmut, while Russia storms them: sergeant on frontline situation
Oles Maliarevych, sergeant with the 92nd Detached Assault Brigade, says that Russia has significantly intensified its actions in the Bakhmut sector
He said this on Espreso TV.
"In recent days, the invading Russian forces have significantly intensified their actions. The situation to the south of Bakhmut is as follows: we attack - we are attacked. Over the past week, the Defense Forces have de-occupied several positions, and the Russians try to regain these positions the next day. The enemy spares no effort, no means, and no people to do so. When the enemy reveals itself, we destroy it," emphasized Maliarevych.
According to the serviceman, Russia is holding on to Bakhmut, pulling up reserves.
“Russia is losing a lot of equipment and personnel. Our task is to gradually liberate the territories. One or two enemy positions, 10-50 meters of liberated Ukrainian land is a great result. We need to consolidate and cover the infantry in order to move on," added Maliarevych.
- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is convinced that the goal of the leader of Russia's terrorist forces, Vladimir Putin, is to show results on the battlefield before the elections are announced.
- Ukrainian analysts recorded two cases of Russian use of chemical weapons in the Svatove and Bakhmut directions.
