Ukraine holds information front: how Espreso TV works during war

The Spotlight Ukraine project has shown the behind-the-scenes work of the Espreso TV channel during the war

This is reported by Spotlight Ukraine | Espreso TV Channel.

In addition to the front on the battlefield, Ukraine has been holding the information front for the 10th month. Journalists shoot reports in the hotspots and debunk the myths of Russian propaganda.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the Espreso TV channel has been live 14 hours a day, so that Ukrainians receive the most up-to-date information. And our Spotlight Ukraine project tells and analyzes the most important events related to Ukraine for an English-speaking audience.

The war makes its adjustments. During the air alert, journalists and presenters head to shelters, but work continues. When the lights are off, electricity is supplied by powerful generators. The mobile studio of the TV channel is equipped with the necessary equipment and high-speed Internet. This allows the presenters to continue preparing for the broadcast.

“There is a bomb shelter, or as we call it, a bomb studio. There is everything here for smooth work even during an air raid alarm, because, unfortunately, it can last three or even five hours. If it is not canceled in 20 minutes, I'll have to work from here,” the host of the Spotlight Ukraine program, Volodymyr Ostapchuk, said.

The Espreso team continues to report the truth to Ukrainians and the whole world despite all the challenges.

“Despite all the difficulties, we cannot leave our audience without the truth, because the goal of Russian aggression is not only to deprive Ukraine of light, but also to deprive the world of truth. That is why we are working here. We have a large powerful team and we are ready to break into the air,” Editor-in-Chief Nazarii Volianskyi said.
