Ukraine has tools to strike deep into Russian territory, air defense systems are powerless – military expert Zgurets
Defense Express analyst Serhiy Zgurets said that the explosions in the Kaluga region of the Russian Federation on February 6 prove that Ukraine has the means to strike deep into Russian territory
He told about this on the air of the Espreso TV channel.
"Although we do not officially recognize it, Ukraine has the means to strike deep into the territory of the Russian Federation. These means go 300 kilometers deep into the territory of the Russian Federation, and no Russian air defense systems are able to shoot down unmanned aerial vehicles. Yesterday, we saw statements by the head of the Kaluga region that a Ukrainian drone, which was equipped with a 100 kg bomb, allegedly exploded. These are Tu-141 unmanned aerial vehicles used by Ukraine to strike at Russian territory," Zgurets said.
The analyst emphasized that Ukraine will increase its capabilities to attack targets on the territory of the Russian Federation.
"Several conclusions can be drawn from yesterday's event with explosions in the Kaluga region. In particular, Ukraine has the strength and means to hit targets on the territory of the Russian Federation. Also, the fact that the Russian air defense system does not work. This means that Ukraine has the opportunity to continue to select and destroy targets on the territory of the Russian Federation," he added.
