Ukraine has attacked Russian airfields will continue to do so - military expert Hetman
Oleksiy Hetman, military expert, veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war, believes that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have most likely attacked Russian airfields Dyagilevo and Engels with drones
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
"We could not have attacked Russian airfields with missiles, because we do not have long-range missiles. Most likely, these were drones that can fly over a long distance. And it's very difficult to fight drones with air defense equipment. At first, we also didn't quite understand how to fight Shahed drones as well. Russia does not yet know how to shoot down drones either. Therefore, our attacks will reach their targets. It will take a long time until Russia makes manuals and understands how to fight our means of destruction, and we can destroy many more targets during this time," Hetman noted.
According to the military experts, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are behind the attack on Russian airfields.
"There is no need to shy away. We must recognize that it was our attack. We will not tell you how we did it, but we will continue. We should be proud of such attacks and the Armed Forces. We do not violate the rules of war, prescribed in UN charters and military doctrines. We do not attack civilian infrastructure facilities, we attack military facilities. That is, the airfields which are used to attack us. When there is a war, it is necessary to strike enemy military targets, not to worry over geographical border lines. We must attack enemy military facilities wherever they are located," Hetman stressed.
