Ukraine gets powerful autotransformer from Lithuania for damaged substation

Ukraine has received a powerful autotransformer from Lithuania. Its transportation was the largest logistics operation coordinated by the EU Civil Protection Mechanism

The press service of Ukraine's Ministry of Energy reported the update.

“As part of cooperation and assistance in rebuilding the power system, Ukraine has received a powerful autotransformer from the Republic of Lithuania, which will be installed at a high-voltage substation of the electricity transmission system. It transforms the voltage from the trunk to the distribution level and can provide power to up to 200,000 households,” the statement says.

Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko thanked the Lithuanians for their assistance and noted that such equipment is important for restoring energy infrastructure after enemy shelling and ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply to Ukrainian consumers.
