Ukraine filed a lawsuit against Russia in the International Court of Justice
Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN Sergiy Kyslytsya said that Ukraine is filing a lawsuit against the Russian Federation in the International Court of Organization demanding to take interim measures against Russia

"Ukraine is seeking an emergency hearing and a court order that Russia must stop its illegal attack on Ukraine. Russia will have to answer for its behavior in the International Court of Justice in The Hague", Kyslytsya said.
The publication reports that according to the procedure, the court must establish that Russian aggression against Ukraine is based on lies and a gross violation of international law and must be stopped.
Kyslytsya noted that Russia's lies and disregard for international law will be exposed more and more as Ukraine confronts its aggression, adding: "Ukraine will hold Russia accountable."

Kyslytsya also said that the Russian blitzkrieg plan had failed, and "the bloody and insane Russian leadership is ordering a massive shelling of residential areas, critical infrastructure facilities, and hazardous material storage sites as revenge for Ukraine's resilience and resistance."
In addition, Ukraine condemns Belarus for helping the Russian Federation in waging the war.
"Since the beginning of Russian aggression, this country has ensured the Russian attack on its territory. Today (February 27 - ed.) Zhytomyr airport was hit by Iskander missiles launched from the territory of Belarus", Kyslytsya said.
The diplomat added that he reported these facts to UNICEF and asked to immediately respond to the situation and take all measures to stop the death and violence in Ukraine due to Russian aggression.
