
Ukraine evacuates 176 citizens from Israel ahead of U.S. strikes on Iran — Zelenskyy
Just before the U.S. strikes on three nuclear facilities in Iran, Ukraine evacuated 176 Ukrainians from Israel, along with citizens of five other countries
This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"Ahead of the active measures by the United States targeting nuclear program facilities in Iran, Ukrainian diplomats and the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine carried out an important stage of the evacuation of Ukrainian citizens and citizens of partner states from the danger zone: 176 people were evacuated from Israel to Egypt," he stated.
Evacuation efforts are also underway from Iran to Azerbaijan.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha briefed the president on the work of Ukraine’s embassies in the region and the ongoing evacuations. In addition to Ukrainians, those evacuated included citizens of Moldova, Latvia, Azerbaijan, Estonia, and the United States.
"We are responding to every request and will continue evacuation efforts. I have instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and our intelligence service to provide all the necessary protection for our people in the Middle East and the Gulf region," the Ukrainian president added.

- In response, the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran vowed to continue its nuclear activities despite the attacks by both Israel and the United States.
- According to media reports, the U.S. presidential administration is preparing for a possible response from Iran within the next 48 hours following the strikes on its nuclear sites.
