Ukraine drags US, West back into world politics by collar - Piontkovsky

He said this on the Studio West with Antin Borkovskyi program on Espreso TV. 

"It is clear that this event (Hamas' attack on Israel) was sponsored by two combat allies, Iran and Russia, two fascist states. This is very positive for world public opinion - to finally understand what Russia is. First, in the American mind now, in the minds of the entire West, these are two parallel cases: fascist Iran wants to destroy Israel and fascist Russia wants to destroy Ukraine. And we see both of these allies helping each other to commit these crimes," the political scientist noted.

According to him, the US reaction was incredibly positive.

"I have been telling you throughout this year that Ukraine's role is enormous: it has been dragging the United States and the West back into world politics by the collar, back into the role of leader of the free world. And this is the first time that Biden has played this role. And, in fact, Blinken is the first key person, he stands next to Biden in all his speeches. I have already talked about Blinken's "Fulton speech" on September 13 at Johns Hopkins University, which was about supporting Ukraine, about how the challenge to Russia is a challenge to the entire civilized world, the breakdown of the entire international system. And that the United States is the leader of the free world, which has the responsibility to rebuild a new system," the analyst commented.

Andrey Piontkovsky emphasized that Iran's challenge was met immediately by the United States.

"I don't know if Ukrainian viewers have already had time to watch Biden's address, which is even tougher on Iran. Because the plan is clear: this is a multi-move Russian-Iranian combination. Many people are wondering why such incredible cruelty and exemplary casualties? Of course, these are terrorists, scum and animals, but they have never committed such massive atrocities. Their task was to provoke Israel's reaction, to involve the army in a ground operation in Gaza. And they were preparing a second strike, when everyone would be there, to strike from the north with an even more powerful Hezbollah structure. This is what was thwarted by the US warning. Yes, all the masks are off. The West is firmly on the side of Israel and Ukraine," Piontkovsky emphasized.
