Ukraine Armed Forces hit two enemy positions in Melitopol, one detonated for several hours - mayor

Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov announced this on his Telegram account.

“Another hell night for the Russian occupiers in Melitopol and well-coordinated work of our Armed Forces! According to preliminary data, two enemy locations were hit at once," writes Fedorov.

The mayor reports that Ukrainian defenders destroyed a warehouse with Russian ammunition near the Melitopol airfield, which "the occupiers are trying to restore unsuccessfully."

The remains of the ammunition detonated for several hours after the explosion.

Information about the second hit is being clarified.

• On August 25, the mayor of Melitopol called on local residents to evacuate from the city, as there is practically no chance that the gas supply will be restored before winter.

• In the evening of August 26, explosions occurred at Russian military warehouses located in the occupied Melitopol district.

• Mayor of Melitopol Ivan Fedorov reported that residents of Novobohdanivka heard explosions and the area was in smoke.

• On August 27, Ivan Fedorov reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had destroyed enemy equipment in Novobohdanivka.

• In the village of Myrne in Melitopol district, a building was destroyed in which preparations for the staged referendum were conducted. Also one of the largest military bases in Melitopol was destroyed.

• On August 31, Ukrainian defenders liquidated 9 warehouses with ammunition and 3 military bases of Russian forces in the occupied territories.
