Ukraine announces mandatory evacuation in 37 settlements of Kharkiv region

On Thursday, August 10, a mandatory evacuation of civilians from 37 settlements began in Kupyansk district of Kharkiv region

This was reported by the Kupyansk city military administration.

"Mandatory evacuation of the population begins in the de-occupied territories of the Kupyansk district of the Kharkiv region," the statement said.

It is noted that this order was signed on August 9, 2023, by the head of the Kupyansk District Military Administration, Andriy Kanashevych.

Forced evacuation was announced from the territory of settlements close to the combat zone, Dvorichna, Petropavlivka, partially from the territories of Kindrashivka, Kurylivka and Kupyansk city territorial communities.

On the territory of the Kupyansk city territorial community, mandatory evacuation was announced for residents of Kupyansk Zaoskillya (left bank of the Oskil River), Kivsharivka, and Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi.

  • On July 10, the authorities of Sumy region, in consultation with the military, decided to evacuate people from the five-kilometer zone from the state border of Ukraine.
