UK, Poland to build villages for IDPs in Ukraine

London and Warsaw have agreed to build two temporary villages in Ukraine for those citizens who have been left homeless by the Russian war

Sky News reports that temporary settlements will be built in the Lviv and Poltava regions. The UK has allocated GBP 10 million for this purpose.

“Over the past year, Putin has continued to target civilian homes and infrastructure, and the Ukrainian people have paid a heavy price for it. This new British-Polish partnership will help to provide light, heat and homes to those who need it most,” British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly said.

The official noted that up to 700 people will be able to live in the temporary villages. This will help solve the issue of housing for those who lost their homes or were forced to leave them.
