According to UK intelligence, during the last week, Russia's priority was to reorient its units to strengthen its position in Southern Ukraine. However, in Donbas, Russian-backed forces - mainly DPR militants - continue to attempt to storm north of Donetsk.
"Especially fierce fighting is taking place for Pisky, near the Donetsk airport. Control over this settlement probably remains disputed. Since 2014, this area has been on the front line in Donbas. The Russian assault is probably aimed at protecting the M04 highway, the main driving to Donetsk from the west", the intelligence concluded.
