Two people seriously injured in Russian shelling of Mykolaiv - Vitaliy Kim

The head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitaliy Kim, has updated information on the Russian shelling as of 08:00 on the morning of August 6

He shared his update on Telegram. 

Kim noted that on the afternoon of August 5, the Russian occupiers shelled residential quarters in the Korabelnyi district of Mykolaiv.

"There are 21 wounded, including a 13-year-old teenager. One person died. 21 private houses were damaged. 17 of them have shrapnel from ammunition hitting the roof, broken windows, and a mutilated facade. 4 private houses caught fire as a result of shelling. Windows were broken in 5 high-rise buildings. The buildings of two private enterprises were also damaged", he wrote. 

Kim also added that on August 6, around 03:30 a.m, the Russian forces launched rocket attacks on the city. As a result, two people were seriously injured. Residential buildings were also damaged. Detailed information on the consequences of shelling is being clarified.

On August 5, at approximately 11:00 a.m., the Russian shelling of the territory of the village of Novomykolaivka of the Pervomaisk community was recorded. As a result, the house and two outbuildings caught fire, and there were numerous dry fires in the adjoining areas and in the park area. There are no casualties. Also, on August 5, as a result of shelling, a conifer litter fire started twice in the territory of the Halytsynivka forest tract.

In the Bashtan district, on August 5, around 10:30 p.m, the village of Chervona Dolyna came under fire. As a result, residential buildings and farm buildings in households were damaged. There was also shelling near the village of Shyroke. 

On the morning of August 6, about at 04:30, shelling occurred outside the villages of Polyana, Stepove, Shyroke, and Chervona Dolyna. As of now, shelling is also taking place with some frequency in the community of Shyroke. There are no casualties.

"Over the last day, the intensity of shelling of the settlements of the Bereznehuvate community, located on the demarcation line, has increased. For example, yesterday, August 5, as a result of the impact of ammunition and their fragments in the open territory of the community, dry grass, a forest strip, and harvest residues caught fire. There is no information about the victims. The information about the damage is being clarified", Kim said.
