Two Mykolaiv districts hit by Russian rockets

On the morning of August 4, explosions were reported in Mykolaiv when two districts of the city came under Russian missile fire. Roads and sidewalks were hit, residential buildings were damaged.

Vitaliy Kim, the head of Mykolaiv regional military administration, told about it.

"Around 04:00 and after 06:00 on August 4, powerful explosions rang out in Mykolaiv. Two districts of the city came under fire," he noted.

According to preliminary information, residential buildings were damaged (their windows were broken and the roof was damaged). Also, as a result of the fall of ammunition and their fragments, a fire broke out. In addition, one of the rockets hit the roadway, the other hit the sidewalk.

Previously, there were no victims or victims. However, detailed information on the consequences of shelling is being clarified.

Earlier, the mayor of Mykolaiv Oleksandr Senkevych informed about explosions and damage in the city on Telegram.

"At around four in the morning, powerful explosions rang out in Mykolaiv. Two districts of the city came under fire. According to preliminary information, residential buildings were damaged in one district and there was a fire in another," he wrote.

Last day, August 3, shelling was also recorded in the region.

"On the morning of August 3, from 8:30 to 9:10, during enemy shelling in the town of Ochakiv, the Ochakiv community, an electrical substation was damaged, as a result of which part of the city was left without electricity. It has now been restored. There are no casualties," said Kim.

Also, on the evening of August 3, at approximately 18:00, a horticultural society in the village of Lupareve, Halytsynivska hromada, was shelled. Residential and non-residential buildings, power grid were damaged. Electricity supply has been restored to some subscribers, work is ongoing. There are no casualties.

In addition, on the evening of August 3, at 18:20, two people were wounded as a result of enemy shelling of the village of Zorya of the Shevchenkiv community. Also, due to the fall of ammunition and their fragments, a residential building caught fire in the village of Shevchenkove.

Also, after Russian shelling of the Kutsurub community on August 3, dry grass caught fire in the villages of Kutsurub and Solonchaky.

"Yesterday, August 3, at approximately 16:00, there was shelling outside the village of Shiroke in the Shirokiv community. Also around 23:00 there was shelling outside the village of Chervona Dolyna in the Shirokiv community. There were no casualties," the regional head reports.

Around 01:00, on August 4, the village of Yavkine of the Bashtan community was shelled. Previously, there were no victims, no significant damage.

"The shelling continues on the territory and adjacent settlements of the Berezneguvat community. Villages located on the demarcation line remain under constant fire. For example, during the past day, the area near the village of Kavkaz was shelled. Information about the damage and victims is being clarified. In the Voznesensky and Pervomaysky districts, the day and  the night was relatively calm," adds Kim.
