Two Azov Regiment fighters from Rivne killed defending Mariupol
Two friends from Rivne, Azov Regiment fighters Vitaliy Semchuk, who was 25, and 22-year-old Kostyantyn Druz have been killed while fighting invading Russian forces in Mariupol.
Rivne regional military administration shared the tragic news, Espreso.West reported.
"Vitaliy, callsign Ruth, and Kostyantyn, callsign Ace, studied at the Rivne Lyceum School №12. The guys were close friends, faithful brothers. Both died as real soldiers," the statement said.
Both servicemen were posthumously awarded orders.
"Vitaliy Semchuk and Kostyantyn Druz were posthumously awarded the Order for personal courage and selfless actions in defense of Ukraine's state sovereignty and territorial integrity, loyalty to the military oath, and exemplary performance of official duties. Boards bearing their photos can now be seen on the streets of Rivne. Heroes! Eternal memory to all servicemen, medics, volunteers, civilians who died due to Russian aggression. We shall not forget them!," regional military added.
