Turkish FM Fidan to head to Kyiv after Moscow visit for talks with Putin
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan is expected to travel to Kyiv later this week after visiting the Russian capital, where he is to meet with senior Russian officials, including Vladimir Putin

According to Reuters, Fidan is currently on a two-day visit to Moscow. On May 26, he met with Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Medinsky, Moscow’s lead negotiator in the Istanbul talks. He is also expected to meet with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov.
In addition to discussions on Ukraine, the talks have covered bilateral economic and energy issues between Russia and Turkey. While the date and location of the next round of Ukraine-Russia negotiations remain undecided, Turkey has reiterated its readiness to host them.
A Turkish source told Reuters that Ankara will continue playing the role of mediator, and that Fidan plans to visit Kyiv in the coming days to continue diplomatic efforts.
