Trump promises to stop Russia's war against Ukraine in one day
Former US President Donald Trump promised that if he returned to office, he would stop Russia's war against Ukraine in a day
Trump said this on February 20 at a meeting with supporters in Florida, WPTV reports.
According to him, in order to stop Russia's war against Ukraine, it would be enough for him to make two phone calls to Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Vladimir Putin after his victory in the presidential election.
“Literally the same night that I announce my victory, I will call two people: Putin and Zelenskyy. I’ll tell them: we need to meet. I guarantee that I can resolve this issue,” Trump said.
He emphasized that it would be possible to conclude a peace treaty between Ukraine and Russia in 24 hours.
The US presidential election will be held in the fall of 2024. Donald Trump has already announced that he will participate in them.
