Trudeau on Ukrainian counteroffensive: G7, NATO knew it would be long process

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said that the leaders of the Group of Seven and NATO have always known that the war in Ukraine could drag on. Nevertheless, they are ready to support the country as long as it takes

He said this in an interview with Bloomberg.

"We always knew this was going to be a long process," Trudeau said when asked about the progress of the counter-offensive in Ukraine.

The Prime Minister noted that, judging by the conversations among the G7 and NATO member states, they are ready for a war that will last as long as necessary.

"We cannot and must not let Russia win," he added.
