The US State Department is trying to sow massive turmoil among Putin's henchmen
The US State Department is trying to sow a huge disarray among Putin's henchmen: they are offered to get rid of some of the sanctions if the Kremlin pulls its crooks out of Ukraine. This was stated by Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland. The same one who “handed out drugged oranges” on the Maidan in 2014.

By the way: so that there is no Ukrainian 'betrayal' here. Those who have read David Ignatius' column in The Washington Post may have familiarized themselves with the American postwar plan to strengthen Ukraine to the point where Russia would not dare attack us again. In fact, that's what we wanted: to win back the land and protect ourselves from new attacks.
