Total number of cruise missiles Russia launched at Ukraine approaches 3,500 - Zelenskyy

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on August 22 that the total number of cruise missiles Russia has launched at Ukraine is approaching 3,500.

He announced this in his evening address.

"The total number of different cruise missiles that Russia has used against us is approaching 3,500. The strikes of Russian artillery are simply impossible to count - they are so intense," the president said.

In addition, Zelenskyy said that Russia does not want to convene the UN Security Council again to discuss its provocations and its terror at the Zaporizhia NPP.

The president also thanked Ukrainian partners in various countries of the world who are promoting the need for legal recognition of Russia as a terrorist state.

"I am grateful to all our friends in different countries of the world who are promoting the need to recognize the objective reality and legally define Russia as a terrorist state. This decision will appear anyway, and the only question is how many more lives will Russia manage to take before it strikes in response from the international community will not be truly tangible for those responsible for this terror," he commented.
