Serhii Bolvinov, head of the investigative department of the Kharkiv region police, reported this.

"We visited the police department in Izyum, which the Russian army turned into its base. There, as in other cities of the Kharkiv region, the invading Russian forces set up a prison and a torture chamber," Bolvinov wrote.

He said that during the inspection, the investigators found magazines with a list of detainees, as well as instruments of torture - electric cables.

"Also, every cell where people were kept is being studied - DNA samples and fingerprints are being taken, and a database of evidence is being collected for the court. People were kept in dark basement cells from several weeks to months, not even always understanding what exactly the Russian occupiers wanted from them," he wrote.

He added: "As always, everywhere there were Russians there was a garbage dump. Empty bottles, boxes, mattresses, and rags clearly indicate that Russians lived here."
