On January 2, three districts of the Kharkiv region came under Russian fire. The shelling caused fires and the destruction of private houses. There were no casualties

This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Synyehubov.

"Yesterday, the border settlements of Kupiansk, Chuhuiv and Kharkiv districts were under Russian shelling," he wrote and noted that Kupiansk and Vovchansk cities came under fire and Dvorichna, Strilecha, Starytsia, Ohirtseve, Okhrimivka, Kamianka, Novomlynsk, Tavilzhanka, Lyman Pershyi, Vilshana, Kucherivka, Orlyanka, Kurylivka, Kyslivka, Kotlyarivka, Tabaivka and Pershotravneve settlements.

People's homes were damaged and several fires broke out by Russian attacks.

"While extinguishing the fires, the personnel of the State Emergency Service came under repeated fire twice, in Dvorichna and in Vovchansk settlements," said Synyehubov and noted that there were no casualties from the shelling.
