Three civilians killed in Russian missile attack on Invincibility Point in Kostyantynivka
Three people have been killed as a result of a Russian missile hitting an Invincibility Point in Kostyantynivka - prosecutors are documenting the consequences
Ukraine’s Office of the Prosecutor General reported the information on Telegram.
"Under the procedural supervision of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated in criminal proceedings over violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the statement reads.
According to the investigation, on March 24, 2023, at 01:00 a.m., the Russian army fired from the S-300 system at the town of Kostyantynivka. One of the missiles reportedly hit the building of the Indestructibility Point, and the other near it.
Three women, who were internally displaced persons from Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar and Opytne village of Pokrovsk district, were killed under the rubble. Two other citizens sustained injuries of varying severity.
"Law enforcement officers are working at the site. Prosecutors continue to take all possible and appropriate measures to document war crimes committed by the Russian armed forces," the statement said.
