10-year-old Roma Frieze from Teofipol in the Khmelnytsky region has handed over his birthday gift, a drone, to the Ukrainian military in a bid to support the country’s defense

Forces who are currently fighting the Russian invasion in eastern Ukraine have already received the drone. As a token of gratitude, soldiers invited the little volunteer to come and meet them, but only after victory.

In peacetime, Roma attended free English classes at the Goncharenko Center in Teofipol. When the war started, these centers became volunteer hubs for the army and refugees. Roma also decided to help. He gave the Ukrainian forces a drone that his father had brought him from the Czech Republic as a birthday present. When asked why he chose to donate this cherished gift, he said that he made the decision himself, and that they needed it.

He wrote a letter to Ukrainian service people, thanking them for their honor, courage and patriotism. "Dear defenders, I am very worried about you, because you are there on the front line against a very strong enemy. But you hold on, you have to persevere!” he wrote.

Members of the Armed Forces were delighted to receive his gift and sent him a video invitation to join the army one day – in the future, after they have won victory. "We received your drone. You’re welcome here in the Army anytime. Romchik, thank you for your kindness, and thanks to your parents for bringing you up so well. Good health to you!” their reply said.

Currently, Goncharenko Centers function as hubs for volunteering and education, and as centers for patriotic education. "Our children are incredible! They understand everything and have to grow up very quickly in these difficult conditions. But the most important thing is that they grow up active and patriotic. And we, as adults, must do everything within our power to ensure that the younger generation has a happy future and a peaceful sky above their heads," said the network’s founder, MP Oleksiy Honcharenko.

Currently, Goncharenko Centers continue to engage not only in volunteering and education, but also in patriotic education. "Our children are incredible! They understand everything and have to grow up very quickly in these difficult conditions. But the most important thing is that they grow up indifferent and patriotic. And we, adults, must do everything to ensure that the younger generation has a happy future and a peaceful sky above their heads, "said founder of network, Member of the parliament  Oleksiy Honcharenko.
