They learn quickly: Duda visits Ukrainian soldiers who are mastering Leopard tanks in Poland
President of Poland Andrzej Duda and Minister of National Defence Mariusz Błaszczak visited Ukrainian defenders mastering Leopard 2 tanks and instructors training them at one of the Polish training grounds
This was announced on the President of Poland website.
The Ukrainian military trained by Polish, Canadian and Norwegian instructors are mastering Leopard 2 tanks at the tank training ground in Świętoszów, in the south-west of Poland. During the meeting, Duda was shown the training base and the training process of Ukrainian tank crews.
"This is fascinating how quickly Ukrainian soldiers learn to operate such modern equipment as Leopard tanks," Duda said.

He added that Ukrainian soldiers are also learning to use other Polish equipment such as Piorun anti-aircraft guns and Krab howitzers.
"Our neighbors also protect us from the Russian enemy, so we help them by supplying modern equipment and learning how to use it," the Polish president emphasized.
Duda noted that Poland not only provides Ukrainians with weapons and humanitarian aid, but also ensures training of the Ukrainian military that will help them better defend Ukraine using Western equipment.
