It is reported by the BBC-Ukraine.

Volodymyr Zelensky inspected the road with destroyed Russian equipment and talked to residents. He stated that Russia committed war crimes and genocide in Ukraine: "These are war crimes, and it will be recognized by the world as genocide… Thousands of people were killed and tortured. With severed limbs. Raped women, murdered children. This is genocide".

"It is important that there are journalists here. We really want you to show the world what happened here, what the Russian military, the Russian Federation did in peaceful Ukraine. It is also important that you see that the civilian population is fighting for every person. They live without electricity, without water, they repulsed the aggressor", Zelensky said in an interview with media representatives.

"When humanitarian aid was brought to people, they asked if it was possible to bring food for homeless animals. This characterizes our people, who treat animals like people. And what you see around, what happened to this town, is a characteristic of Russian military men who treat people like animals", he added.

Regarding negotiations with Russia, Zelensky noted: "The longer the Russian Federation delays the meeting process, it is worse both for them and for this war in general. After all, every day, after our troops enter and de-occupy our territories, you see what happens. It's hard to say when you see what they've done here. I think that if they have something to think about, then they need to think as soon as possible".

Asked if he still thinks it is possible to negotiate peace with Russia, Zelensky replied: "Yes, because Ukraine must get peace. We are in Europe in the 21st century. We will continue our diplomatic and military efforts".
