There is no way back to old relations with Russia - MEP Viola von Cramon

The German politician believes that there is no way back to the old relations with Russia that existed during the operation of Nord Stream 1.

“I think everyone has understood that we cannot go back to that moment. I think now it is better to adapt to the realities and understand that we need to defeat Russia. We must make sure that people like Putin will be our partners neither in Germany nor in the European Union,” she noted. 

Viola von Cramon once again emphasized the need to support Ukraine in order to weaken the aggressor state.

“What we need to achieve is a Russia that will work and cooperate under international jurisdiction and in a multilateral concept. Not the kind of country that has this imperialism and domineering attitude that we see now. We need to focus on how best to support Ukraine in order to reduce the daily casualties on the Ukrainian side and make sure that Ukraine can rule over its territories and has everything on hand which is needed for that,” the member of the European Parliament concluded.
