There are no unacceptable conditions imposed by Russia in Istanbul Grain Export Agreement - Kyrylo Budanov
The Istanbul Grain Export Agreement does not pose any military threats to Ukraine
This was reported by the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov.
"From a military point of view, we do not see any threats (from the conclusion of the Istanbul Agreement. - Ed.). There is a developed fairway. Ships will exclusively move along this fairway. No part of the coast, except for the specified fairway, will be demined", Budanov said on the air of the national telethon.
At the same time, he clarified that if someone believes that the Russian Federation will be able to land a landing force under the cover of the operation of the specified corridor, then this is "absolutely unrealistic." "In addition, the coast is already protected by coastal missile complexes, which make such actions absolutely impossible", the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate emphasized.
He also said that the Agreement does not contain all the unacceptable conditions that Moscow tried to impose on Kyiv during the negotiations.
"Ukraine's position has been 100% respected. All the unacceptable conditions that Russia has been trying to impose on us for a long time are absent here. None of these conditions remain", Budanov stressed.
According to him, during the negotiations, the Russian Federation "really wanted to accompany grain convoys with warships, wanted to inspect something on Ukrainian territory, etc".
"But none of these points will be implemented. And Russia eventually agreed to this", he concluded.
