This was stated by UN Deputy Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs Martin Griffiths, Channel 24 reports.
According to him, the Russian Federation launched a large-scale offensive in the East of Ukraine and there is no reason to expect an end to the war in the near future.
"A ceasefire is not on the horizon right now, perhaps it will happen in a few", Martin Griffiths emphasized.
The UN Deputy Secretary General will meet in Turkey with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and discuss with him how to help the peace process. Martin Griffiths noted that Ukraine approved most of the proposals on humanitarian issues, while the Russian Federation did not answer anything.
