The military conducts Oxymoron-2023 operational-tactical exercises, where they train to defend critical infrastructure. Currently, the threat from the north is minimal
This is stated in a message on the AFU Joint Forces Command Facebook page.
According to the report, in the Kyiv region, under the leadership of the AFU Joint Forces Commander Lieutenant General Serhiy Nayev military personnel are training in the defense of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant exclusion zone.
"Training takes place on an ongoing basis. First, servicemen train separately as part of their units. After this, joint training takes place – servicemen hone their skills in close to combat conditions," said Nayev.
"Commanders and staff try to predict maneuvers and other military actions in order to respond to possible enemy activation at any time," he added.
According to him, the threat from the north is minimal, a number of measures have been taken to prevent enemy forces from crossing the border. The situation in the Kyiv direction is stable and under control, Nayev emphasized.
