The Russian invaders are leaving the Chernobyl NPP and the city of Slavutych, Energoatom
The Russian invaders are leaving the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant and its satellite city Slavutych after an unsuccessful attempt to erect fortifications in the Red Forest.
Energoatom reported this on its Telegram channel.
According to preliminary data, the Russian military, who captured the Chernobyl NPP and other facilities in the Exclusion Zone, is currently going in two columns towards the Ukrainian border with the Republic of Belarus.
In addition, as a sign of confirmation of their intentions to leave the territory of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, the invaders drew up and signed the “Act of acceptance and transfer of protection of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant”. It states that for more than five weeks, Russian troops “reliably guarded the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant”.
The “document” stated “there are no claims from the administration of the protected object against the troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation”.
According to Energoatom, this morning the invaders informed the Ukrainian staff of the station about their intentions to leave the Chernobyl NPP. Currently, only a small number of Russians are on the territory of the station.
In addition, Energoatom states the information about fortifications and trenches the Russians were building in the Red Forest – the most polluted place in the entire Exclusion Zone, confirmed.
According to preliminary data, as a result of their actions, the Russian military received significant doses of radiation and after a short time began to notice the first signs of radiation sickness. After that, a riot reportedly broke out among the invaders, and they began to leave the Exclusion Zone en masse.
In addition, Energoatom informs that a column of the Russian military, which besieged the city of Slavutych, is currently being formed to move towards Belarus.
