The P-66 highway between Kreminna and Svatove will be cut soon paving the way for Ukraine’s counteroffensive in the east – military expert 

He said this on the air of the Espreso TV channel.

"In the east, the Russian troops have concentrated a powerful resource of forces and means, which I can compare with Izium before liberation. Just as the occupiers fled from under Izium, they will also flee from Svatove. Near Svatove and Kreminna, conditions are now being formed for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to start active actions. An interesting section between Svatove and Kreminna is route P-66, which is a logistical artery. Some locations on this route are already under full fire control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. And the Russian forces now cannot fully use it for movement," Kovalenko noted.

According to him, today, the main thing is not so much fire control as physical control.

"Some settlements in this zone have already been evacuated. If we look at these settlements, we understand that soon the road P-66 will be physically cut. When the artery is cut, the conditions will be created for a counteroffensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which can begin, if not in a few days, then in a week or two," Kovalenko emphasized.
