We are talking about one of the basements of a school in the city of Yahidne, in the Chernihiv region.
According to preliminary information, the Russians held more than 150 local residents hostage there. According to Chaus, the residents were not often let out into the street, the toilet was in a bucket.
"I don't know what words to describe it. I don’t know how you can remember this without wild pain.
People got sick and died here. Here the living were next to the dead. Hunger. Thirst. Fear. Pain. Despair", writes the head of the Regional Military Administration.
As you know, among others, there were a large number of women and children in the basement.
"It's terrible. The invader will also definitely answer for this. He will answer in full", he assures.
