The government allocated the first billion hryvnia for the restoration of the liberated territories
The Cabinet of Ministers has already sent the first billion hryvnia to restore settlements liberated from Russian invaders
This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmygal.
"We are directing the first billion hryvnia from the reserve fund to restore the territories liberated from Russian troops. The funds will be used to eliminate the consequences of hostilities and to restore the infrastructure as a matter of priority", the message says.
In particular, 400 million UAH is allocated for the Kyiv region, 250 million hryvnia for Chernihiv and Sumy regions. Another 100 million UAH is allocated for the Zhytomyr region. These funds will be used to repair engineering networks and systems for the restoration of heat, gas, water, and electricity. In addition, the money will be used to clean up the destruction, repair roofs, replace windows and doors, eliminate potholes on the roads and other priority needs.
The funds will be managed by the civil-military administrations in each region. On the government side, the process will be coordinated by the Ministry of Community and Territory Development.
"This is only the first stage, and there will be a lot of work ahead on the capital restoration of our country. We will start this immediately after our victory", Shmygal added.
