"Former Georgian Defense Minister Irakli Okruashvili in Ukraine together with Georgian volunteers is helping us fight the Russian occupiers!" The ministry said in a statement.

Irakli Okruashvili was in the past one of Mikheil Saakashvili's closest associates. In 2014, he was appointed Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia. From the same year until 2006 - held the post of Minister of Defense.

We remind that preliminary it became known that about 20 thousand foreigners who are ready to defend our state from the Russian aggression agreed to arrive in Ukraine. The day before, British legionnaires had already arrived.
