The Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated three more settlements from the Russians. Brigade of invaders from the Murmansk region lost about 30% of the military in Ukraine - General Staff

This was announced by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The invaders are focusing their main efforts on preparing for an offensive to establish full control over the territory of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. There is a threat that they will use sea, air and land-based missiles. The Russians are striking at defense complex facilities, logistics infrastructure and residential areas of cities.

At the same time, they are trying to improve the tactical position in the South Bug direction. It is possible to use the territory of Transnistria to support an offensive operation in the indicated direction. At the Tyraspol airfield, they are preparing to receive aircraft.

The Russians are trying to recruit mercenaries from other countries to the war against Ukraine in order to make up for their losses, but this will not significantly affect the course of hostilities due to their small number.

"The command of the 200th separate motorized rifle brigade (Pechenga, Murmansk region) of the 14th army corps, from which two battalion tactical groups were involved in the war with Ukraine, is training military personnel to replenish losses. According to available information, the total losses of the brigade are alive. One battalion of the tactical group was destroyed, the other was withdrawn to the area of ​​restoration of combat capability in the Belgorod region", the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted.

There is no sign of the formation of an invader offensive in the Volhynia direction. Certain units of the Belarusian Armed Forces cover a section of the Ukrainian-Belarusian border.

In the Polissya direction, the invaders did not take active actions. Part of the withdrawn invader units is in Belarus.  Reconstruction is underway, probably with the aim of regrouping them and strengthening other groups. It is not ruled out that Russian subdivisions will be left to tie down the actions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and prevent them from tipping over to other directions. Another goal is to help Belarus cover part of the Belarusian-Ukrainian border.

In the Siversk direction, the restoration of the enemy occupation units withdrawn to the Bryansk and Kursk regions of the Russian Federation continues.

In the Slobozhansky direction, the Russians continue to blockade Kharkiv and inflict artillery shelling on its individual areas.

"According to available information, the losses of the 236th artillery brigade of the 20th combined arms army are about 20 percent of the personnel and weapons. This significantly reduced the intensity of the brigade's actions", the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine added.

In the Izyum direction, the invaders are trying to create a strike force and continue the offensive in the direction of Slavyansk and Barvinkove.

In the Donetsk direction, the Russians are making attempts to improve the tactical position of their units, conducting assault operations in the areas of the settlements of Popasna, Stepne, Novotoshkivske, Rubizhne, Severodonetsk and Solodke, but unsuccessfully.

Russian invaders continue to actively use ammunition prohibited by international humanitarian law, and do not abandon their attempts to storm Mariupol. The Ukrainian military has been holding a heroic defense for more than forty days, holding back large forces of the occupying units.

In the Tauride direction, in the Basani area, separate units from the 58th Combined Arms Army were moving, presumably with the aim of regrouping forces.

In the South Bug direction, the invaders are restoring combat readiness and carrying out measures for the engineering equipment of positions, continuing the terror of the civilian population in the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson region.

"The invader, as a result of the offensive actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, lost control over the settlements of Dobryanka, Novovoznesenske and Trudolyubivka. Fighting is underway in the area of ​​the settlement of Oleksandrivka", the General Staff noted.

On April 5, the PS of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 8 Russian cruise missiles. Ukrainian aviation continued to support the actions of the ground troops of the Defense Forces and carried out air strikes against the invaders.
